The Food Bank TT Race was a great success!!! Special MAHALO to all those that helped,, Thad and GP laid out a great track. The scorekeepers and the marshals did a great job. An event like this doesn’t go off well without the help of all the volunteers who made it a great success. And thanks to all the riders for coming out and supporting the Food Bank. It was great to see 11 Quad riders come out and race…. What a show! Big Mahalo to everyone for supporting the event. We’ll see you at the Toys for Tots event!!!! Lets not forget NO FEAR HAWAII for providing the prizes… support those that support our sport!!!

Maui Upcoming Events

We at the Maui Motocross Association have seen a great growth of young riders in the past year. The numbers of young riders under the age of 9 are at the highest that the club has ever seen. Many do not know that we have a Main Track and a Mini Track. The mini track is designed for the smaller bikes and new comers to the sport.

NORTH SHORE RACING MOTORCYCLE CLUB is sponsoring our annual endurocross motorcycle race at Kahuku motocross track. We have been getting bigger every year so the HMA gave our club Memorial Day weekend May 29th thru 31st 2010. We expect this weekend to be our biggest race ever. We will have a camping weekend and we plan on having more specialized kids races. Sat May 29th will be Kids races. Small endurocross and motocross races. Sun May 30th will be the Big endurocross and family poker run. The endurocross will be exciting as ever with plenty of spectator obstacles. If you are a motocross racer it is time to hit some wide trails on the track. If you are a trail racer you are going to love the gate drop. My past winners have been both Trail and motocross racers. This is a technical course that will improve any riders skill level with total exhilaration. You will have two 30 min heats. One before lunch one after. You can race as many as 4 heats if you want to. If you ride two heats you will have ridden two hours for the day. This year The t-shirt will have a Liechtenstein cartoon look. This years theme will be Memorial Day Mayhem. Start your engines! You will get a t-shirt and everybody gets a trophy.

Maui Motocross Classes

85cc & up skills class is rescheduled to Sunday March 14, taught by Nate Tiearney an AMA professional motocrosser. Class starts @ 9am to 12noon @ a cost of $100, limited to 4 riders. Also on Sunday March 14 there will be a kid’s clinic will be taught by Ron Lee for 50 & 60 Beginner & Advanced Riders. Cost is $30 and start time is 9am to 12 noon, class size limited to 8 riders. Please call Ron Lee @ 344-2778 to hold space in either class being taught.

HMA Keiki Motocross Clinic: Big Mahalo to everyone who helped make the Keiki Clinic a great day of training for the kids. Special thanks to Dave Hethcote, Bronson Hethcote, Alex Feyerisien, Kainoa, Thad and Kalei Kamakaala and the HMA for sponsoring a great event.
